My Services

01.

Set aside an hour so we can get to know each other and see if we’d like to work together for your pregnancy and birth experience and/or your postpartum journey. Both in person and virtual meetings are available and additional times may be possible.

02.

So we've sat down and you've decided to include us in your care team!

You can expect to meet with us at up to twice prior to the birth, we'll be there for your labor, we'll meet with you once during postpartum, and you'll receive plenty of text and later into pregnancy phone support as we check in with you during your pregnancy and into postpartum or if you have questions. No matter how you give birth, at a hospital, home, high intervention, or totally natural we'll be there to support you.

As labor doulas, our mission is to support your birth wishes in the most thoughtful and personalized way possible. We understand that each family is unique, and every individual’s needs may vary. That’s why we take the time to ask the important questions during our thorough prenatal sessions, ensuring we are fully aligned with your vision for your birth experience. When you hire a doula, you’re bringing on someone who will support you mentally, physically, and emotionally. We provide essential support to your partner, hold space for your birth experience, listen attentively, and approach every moment with courage and empathy. Let our team meet you with kindness, respect, and unwavering support.

Prenatal Visits

Your Labor

01.

This is the time for us to get to know one another even better and have a heart to heart. We want to hear all your hopes, fears, and wishes for your birth. We'll work on three birth plans, trust me here I make it easy. Your ideal to if you can only have some of the things you want to deciding what are those few things that are the most important to you that way on the big day if plans have to be a bit more flexible.

We'll go over what support during labor you’d like from your birth partner, how I can help your them be fully involved, likes and dislikes for various things, what form of support from me in labor best suites you, birth and pregnancy history, etc.

We'll show you what we carry in our doula bags to make your birth experience more comfortable and we'll give you a local resource list.

02.

At the second  visit we'll work on comfort measures for your birth and go through positions and breathing techniques. We'll practice so everyone involved knows what mom likes and doesn't like to make things as comfortable as possible. It will also be a great time to revise the birth plan if need be, finalize all the contact information I'll need, and make a plan for postpartum. this plan would include going over warning signs in the postpartum period, figure out who is supporting you after the birth and how they can support you (chore lists, meal trains, etc.) If you are planning to breast feed, we can cover information on that here too.

Baby is on the way!

While you're in early labor text us and we can celebrate together and go over signs and symptoms and work out a plan for the next few hours. When you're ready for one of us to join you wherever you are, call us and we will get to you within 2 hours but typically much sooner. Once your doula gets there you have our full attention and support. We will follow your lead to support you how you need whether that's encouraging words to remind you that you've got this, to calm and comfort, to apply pressure or other comfort measures for your aches and pains, to helping you get into any position you want to try. We'll be there to support you and your partner from beginning to end. When baby arrives we are more than happy to capture memories as you enjoy that golden hour together and get you the things you need to relax feel comfortable after labour.

Post Birth Visit

Now that your little one is here we will still text and call you to see how you're fairing and around four to six weeks postpartum, we will schedule our visit. We'll talk about how postpartum is going, review your birth, and if need make any referrals that could help with what you may be going through.

Birth Add-On

As a birth client, you would have the option to add TENS support to your existing birth package. The second prenatal appointment would be extended by thirty minutes to go over how to use the unit and the correct placement of the electrodes. A waiver will be required from your obstetrician or midwife verifying you are medically cleared to use TENS and then after you are past 37 weeks you will have the device to aid with labor pains. After baby is born I will take the TENS unit with me so theres no worry about returns.

Machine Rental

Should you just want to rent the TENS unit there is that option. This will include:

  • the ELLE TENS machine

  •  the carrying case

  • a neck strap

  • two sets of electrodes

  • an extra lead wire

  • two extra batteries

  • an info sheet with directions for use.

  • a pre-addressed return package

After you reach 37 weeks and have the waiver signed by your care team, you will be able to pick up the unit.
